Healing Pain - Therapeutic Yoga for the Whole Body - Feb 9th (1:45-2:45) Weymouth Open Doors

$45 - 40$ if register in advance

Do you have chronic pain that has been interfering with your life for weeks, months, maybe even years? Or maybe you have an area of pain that has just popped up recently and is affecting your practice or daily errands ? Then this workshop is for you in taking the first steps of owning your power and taking your body back! This class will focus on those pesky painful areas throughout the body! Yoga Therapy is a holistic healing approach that encourages integration of the mind and body to improve overall health.  We will utilize yoga postures, breath work, meditation, affirmations, diet, journaling, and other Ayurveda practices to improve mental and physical health. We will begin with a brief overview of yoga therapy, how Prana affects the body and integrate breath work to remove pain, and how posture often leads to pain; and then move into a yoga therapy sequence that relives pain in the body and will be catered to each person. Class will finish with meditation and journaling revolving around the work of Dr. John Sarno. This workshop will encourage you to alter the way you perceive and live with pain, and is sure to leave you feeling more positive and free in your body. Students will leave with tools and strategies on how to improve their pain and overall health.

**Each student will receive a DIY spine massage tool in the workshop. Please bring a journal or notebook.
